Passwords with certain characters lead to authentication failure when using authentication for a proxy repository

      Description

      Setup:
      User/password protected Nexus repository on 2.6.4-02.
      Proxy repository on 2.7.0-04, using username/password authentication.

      Observation:
      If the password contains certain characters, the proxy repository cannot access the remote repository, reason: unauthorized.

      This seems to be related to NEXUS-4558, but I'm not allowed to link the issue.
