      Description

We recently ran into an issue where projects are depending on a snapshot version, but the snapshot version was released. Then the scheduled task removed these snapshots, and the build that were dependent on them broke. It would be nice if there was a grace period before these snapshots are removed. This would give more time for projects to update their dependencies.

One idea is that the set snapshot retention period should also apply to removing the snapshots after a release. In our case the snapshot was removed because the project was released, but the snapshot was not older than the retention policy.
