Description
Browse permissions based on sub-directories do not allow a user to browse those files in the UI because the user doesn't have permission to browse the parent directories. This is not a permissions issue, but rather an issue with the UI. In this scenario, the user shouldn't have browse access to the parent directories, but these directories should be available in the UI (including the HTML view) to allow the user to navigate to the sub-directory that they do have browse permissions for.
The work around discussed here provides the user with additional browse permissions that should not be required.
