      Description

      Scenario:

In our CICD pipeline we build rpm packages which we publish to a yum (staging) repository in Nexus. In the next step, as part of the CICD pipeline, we then install the rpm packages from the yum repository.

Currently (Nexus 3.21.1) this causes problems as the yum metadata is rebuilt after 60 seconds. We need this to be rebuilt quicker than this.

As a workaround for now we've added a sleep delay in our pipeline of 60 seconds which is undesirable as we want fast pipelines. We know it is possible to change the 60 seconds via configuration but what we've read you strongly advice against setting it too low, so we have opted to not change the default value.

We've tested to call a yum metadata rebuild task, but that doesn't work and we saw other strange issues like corrupted metadata. Your support answered that that wasn't a supported use case.
