Customers add or edit bin/nexus.vmoptions file and fail to add a new line character at the end of the file.
If the last line of the file is a property, this property is not read, which in turn can fail startup of the server or cause unintended errors.
This most commonly happens when a user is copy-pasting content into the file copied out of an article or help guide.
Further if such a scenario does happen, the errors caused may not end up inside nexus.log, making determining the cause of such failure even harder to guess by all parties.
Add an explicit commented line to the end of nexus.vmoptions making it clear that all properties must be above that line. This will hopefully help admins avoid some of the mistakes where new lines get omitted at the end of properties and properties are not read from the file.
