      Nexus 2.x supported the ability to resolve a snapshot (latest) version of a file to download via a REST call, eg. https://support.sonatype.com/hc/en-us/articles/213465488-How-can-I-retrieve-a-snapshot-if-I-don-t-know-the-exact-filename-

      After upgrading to Nexus 3.2.1, I have not found any reference on how to perform a similar API call to download (wget) a snapshot artifact when only GAV coordinates are known (ie. the timestamp version should be automatically resolved). The suggested approach documented in this thread suggests downloading and parsing the snapshot archive maven-metadata.xml to determine the timestamp file version to download (and construct the URL from that):
