      Description

On the Metrics page in nexus, there is a thread dump button. When clicked, it prompts you to save a file named threads.txt.

It would be helpful if the prompted file to save had a naming convention similar to support bundles, where a timestamp is part of the name. The reason is we want to quickly see by file name when a thread dump was taken. In the case of capturing multiple thread dumps during a problem, the file names can be easily sorted and triaged based on when they were taken, and there won't be any conflicts saving multiple thread dumps to the same directory for final zip and sending to support.

      Acceptance

      • prompt to save threads.txt as threads-<timestamp>.txt instead
      • the timestamp should be as close to just before the thread dump was issued to the JVM ( not afterwords in case taking the thread dump takes multiple seconds )
      • the timestamp should match the pattern that the support bundle uses
