Dependent web fragments that are in the eclipse workspace are deployed into the container as directories rather than jars.

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Resolved
    • Priority: Major
    • Resolution: Out of scope
    • Affects Version/s: 0.14.0
    • Fix Version/s: None
    • Component/s: None
    • Labels:
    • Environment:
Windows 7 x64, JBoss AS 7.0.2, Eclipse Indigo Service Release 1.

      Description

Moving to 0.14.0 seems to have affected the way dependent web fragments are deployed. They now prevent the war from being started up as they are deployed as directories rather than jars and the container fails to load them.

Previously when the web fragment project POM's were imported into eclipse the Utility Module Facet was added.
Now the Web Fragment Module is added instead which would seem to be the correct behaviour, but it ends up being undeployable.

This looks like an issue with AS7. Are you using JBT 3.3.0M3?
If you can reproduce the problem using stock eclipse projects, then you should open a ticket at https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE

I reproduced the problem with JBT 3.3.0M3 and opened https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-9836.
        Please follow up over there.

In the mean time, all you can do is reverting the facet change manually between "Update Project Configuration"s

        Closing as out of scope.

Thanks. Yes JBT 3.3.0-M3, I've also tried the nightly M4 and it has the same problem. I'll follow up with the issue you raised.
